New CFO for ice group
12 January 2018 - ice group has appointed Henning Karlsrud as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Karlsrud joins ice group from Telenor where he was senior vice president and head of group strategy at Telenor Group. In this role, he was responsible for developing Telenor Group's corporate strategy, running larger strategic projects within the group and managing the corporate strategy process.
"Henning's deep understanding of the Norwegian market and the international telecoms landscape will make him a highly valuable asset to ice group," says JD Fouchard, CEO of ice group.
Karlsrud has held various group strategy roles in Telenor since 2012. Prior to this, he spent four years in Handelsbanken Capital Markets' corporate finance team, working primarily with M&A, but also listings and private placements. Karlsrudhas also spent three years with A.T. Kearney plus four years with the Boston Consulting Group in Norway. He holds a master's degree from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
"I have monitored ice group in general, and its Norwegian operation specifically, for a few years now. I have been very impressed with the group's customer and data centric business model, and how it has capitalised on this to build up a genuine challenger in the Norwegian market in record time," says Henning Karlsrud.
Karlsrud succeeds the current CFO of ice group, Murat Erden, who will continue to support the executive management team until March 2018.
